Programs & Ambassadors
Discover the heart of Black Girls Read and Rise Foundation through the programs that inspire a love of reading and the ambassadors who proudly represent our mission. Together, they are helping build confident readers, stronger communities, and brighter futures—one child, one book, and one opportunity at a time.

BGRR in Action
We had the honor of delivering tablets to a local daycare — putting books, learning, and big dreams right into our littlest scholars’ hands. Because literacy starts early, and so does believing in yourself.
And we didn’t do it alone! We were joined by our very own Little Miss Black Literacy Queen Florida, Aniya Duran — proof that our girls don’t just read… they lead.
Every tablet we place is a seed planted for a brighter future. This is what giving back looks like. This is what rising looks like.

Aniya Duran, Little Miss Black Literacy Queen, Florida
Crowned with purpose, confidence, and a heart for literacy — introducing Little Miss Black Literacy Queen Florida 2026, Aniya Duran!
Beginning her official reign on June 1st, Aniya is already shining bright as a young literacy ambassador and role model. At just 4 years old and preparing to begin VPK this school year, she already has a love for reading, learning, dancing, and spreading kindness to others everywhere she goes.
Coming from a family of educators, Aniya understands the importance of education and using her voice to inspire other children. This summer, she will officially participate in the BLACK STUDENTS ROCK & READ Summer Reading Challenge while also helping give back by donating tablets to support students and literacy initiatives.
